Having just retired I am starting a blog to share and discuss three of my favorite hobbies – Wine, Travel, and Food.
I have been interested in wine for over 50 years and what started as a cardboard box in my dorm room at college is now 800 bottles in my basement as shown in the picture. A small wine hobbyist’s cellar, but I am happy to share wines that I think are delicious and some that i think are also best buys.

My wife and partner for 50 years, Beth Stewart, and I have had food and wine as a central theme to our vacation travel across Europe and North America and I will share some of our experiences, and lessons learned.
Beth is a fantastic cook and thanks to her we eat very well. I am a good cook and I have my specialties. My posts will probably be more about the things that I cook like large birds, smoking/slow cooking, baking bread, and homemade pasta but I will share some of Beth’s successes and secrets as well.
Some of the things I want to share I think are better done in videos with lots of pictures and maybe some slides to share information. Your feed back on both approaches is greatly appreciated.
As I am totally new to this, I welcome your feedback on what you like and when I ramble on too long. Making it a dialogue where you share your thoughts and experiences on the topic would be great and I welcome suggestions for topics related to wine, travel, and food that you would like to see a blog on.
I started a wine club at the company I just retired from and called it Wine Tasting Friends. I did that to let me get away with using the acronym WTF and I am using it again here. I think WTF is very appropriate for many discussions about wine, travel and food, especially after tasting some good wines.
